Tints of Fall
The last of the tomatoes are ripening, and the first leaves of the tupelo are turning red.
Flowers are still blooming, like this aster and sweet autumn clematis.
I also enjoy some of the fading flower heads, like this hydrangea, and the bright red berries of the viburnum.
Some of the trees have colorful seed pods: the purple-red clusters of the evodia and the dangling greenish-yellow pods of the Carolina Silverbell.
The buds of next years flowers are already formed on this magnolia.









Wonderful pictures... I especially enjoyed those Carolina Silverbell pods, as I've never seen them before!
