I was so sorry to hear on the radio tonight that David Brudnoy is near death in Massachusetts General Hospital. David is the most intelligent, well-informed, articulate, and opinionated talk show host I've ever listened to. In fact, he's just about the only talk show host I enjoy listening to, because he always had interesting guests and treated them with attention and courtesy. Tonight's show was particularly touching, as various callers, some famous, some not, said their sometimes tearful goodbyes, with David hopefully listening to their tributes from his hospital bed. I've listened to his show while driving in the evening for the past 20 years or so, and I'm really going to miss him.
