    Geri Sullivan

I didn't get out for a walk today, but I did pull the resistance band out of the packet of exercise gear I received for good attendance at the Wales Zumba classes. I then did a slide-step exercise we learned at the current stretching class, completing one full circle from the living room to office, kitchen, dinette, and back to the living room. I switched which was the lead foot halfway around. It's surprising how much effort goes into what looks and at first feels like a big nothing in terms of exercise. Here's hoping I keep it up and increase stamina.

The stretching class targets a lot of muscles that walking doesn't cover. I'm continually surprised by how much it whups me, especially in terms of leg exercises. I'm so used to thinking that my arms are the weak point, that I have the legs covered. Ha!
